关于村名，博雅地名网收录的说法是：原称屯里，解放初期改为文里，取政治、经济翻身之外文化也要翻身之意。[1]
建制变化：1958年为生产大队，1983年改为乡政府，1987年改为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]
