新五村位于华城镇北部，邻兴宁市叶南镇，是革命老区，页面所载辖35个村民小组。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，新桥一带的村按序数排列，此村居第五，故名新五，解放后沿用至今。1960年属华城公社，1970年起属新桥公社，称新五大队；1999年是新桥镇的新五村委会，2003年并入华城镇。[1]

概况与荣誉[edit]

村辖35个村民小组，页面所载在册830户、3630人，耕地1580亩，土地总面积9.1平方公里。2023年2月评上五华县的2022年度文明村镇，另在2019年9月被省里列为2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]
