地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，村中曾姓人家曾有人在省里任官，公社化时一度叫二四连村，「文革」时改新四大队，改革开放后称新四村，与新桥一带按序数排第四相合。1945年曾归华城一带，1957年作为二四连村划入五华县，1960年属华城公社，1970年起属新桥公社，称新四大队；1999年是新桥镇的新四村委会，2003年并入华城镇。[1]

概况与荣誉[edit]

村辖13个村民小组，页面所载在册408户、1820人，耕地812亩，土地总面积3.67平方公里。另在2019年9月被省里列为2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]
