历史沿革[edit]
所辖自然村名字多以「新」字开头，其中新联由新池和下埔合称，村委会便取「新」「埔」二字为名。[1]1961年属东留公社，为新埔大队；1983年改为新埔乡；1986年起为东留乡的新埔管理区；至1999年改称新埔村委会。[1]
