新龙社区是梅州市丰顺县汤南镇的社区，位于镇中心区，由原新龙二圩一带发展而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，汤南罗氏先人最早在龙上埔落户并建龙上古寨；人口增多后一支迁到今新楼、新埔和隆烟一带，为与原地的龙上乡区别而称新龙乡。新龙乡有两个市场，新龙一圩即今新楼村市场，新龙二圩即原新龙社区所在。[1]1969年起，新龙二圩的人员到汤南公社办公；1981年3月，大队改名新龙；居民委员会于1999年成立。办公地点后来两度变动：2005年2月跟着镇政府搬到新埔的老溪边，2007年底又搬进新楼5村的一幢原计生服务所楼房。[1]
