下营村是梅州市大埔县洲瑞镇的行政村，镇内文物保护单位助吾庐所在地。村名相传来自明末清初一支反清复明军队在此驻扎。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明正统九年（1444年），余氏宗广公从银江昆仑迁到这里，与徐、刘、蔡等姓先祖一同开荒造田、植树，当时村落还没有统一的名称；明末清初定名下营[2]。村情引刘百良《金盆乡志》有「老兵下营，并设官仓」的记载，并说明末清初曾有一支反清复明的队伍驻扎于此[1]。1943年前后属高陂区赤水乡；1952年设下营乡，1958年10月为洲瑞公社下营生产大队，此后到了1983年12月称下营乡，1986年为村委会，1988年称管理区，1998年成立村民委员会[2]。

经济[edit]

村情称全村设21个村民小组，在册544户、2500人，总面积12.11平方千米，耕地1452亩（未注年份）。特色收入以陶瓷为主：有瑞丰瓷业1家，工人100多名，年陶瓷产值600多万元；农业以水稻为主，另有约200亩油茶基地。2009年农村经济总收入2302万元，村集体经济收入约2.18万元[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

助吾庐建于民国，为第九批大埔县文物保护单位[3]。
