平原村是梅州市大埔县高陂镇的行政村，村内有民国时期的世奕庐，为大埔县文物保护单位。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村中心地势较平坦开阔，故名平原。明末清初，廖、郑、邓、连、郭、巫等姓先民从乌槎迁到现址建村，名称沿用至今。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时分别属清远都平原社平原村、源高甲平原村，民国归高陂区平北乡。1952年改称高陂区平原乡，1958年10月归高陂公社，设平原生产大队，1961年1月属平原公社，1983年12月改设平原区平原乡，1986年12月改属平原乡平原村。[1]

世奕庐[edit]

世奕庐建于民国时期，为大埔县文物保护单位。[2]

村情[edit]

村辖32个村民小组，在册871户、3239人，耕地1782亩，所载上一年农村经济总收入2708万元；养殖以养猪为主，种植优质水稻。[1]
