平原村是广东省江门市开平市长沙街道下辖的行政村，在街道西南部，距街道办事处约4公里，沿稔广公路南侧。[1]
概况[edit]
村辖11个村小组，总人口2575人，791户，党员53人。种养用地共2246亩，村民自有耕地约935亩，以种水稻为主。[1]
改革开放以来，村里出资建厂房和铺位，出租地皮，开发鱼塘300多亩来增加集体收入；桂芳村被市评为“村居公园村”。[1]
平原村入选广东“百千万工程”典型村，并创建成江门市“红色美丽侨村”。[2]
