赤山村是梅州市大埔县高陂镇的行政村，因周围山头泥土呈赤黄色而得名。[1]
地名由来与沿革[edit]
村周围山顶多是黄泥土，颜色赤黄，故名赤山，村名没有改过。明代属清远都古埜社乌槎村，清代属古源甲乌槎村，民国归高陂区乌槎乡。1958年10月在高陂公社下成立赤山生产大队，1986年12月改属高陂镇赤山村，1998年起称村民委员会。[1]

村辖13个村民小组，在册340户、1415人，耕地792亩；所载上一年农村经济总收入1674万元（据博雅地名网）。[1]
