江南村属广东省梅州市梅县区白渡镇，是镇下的行政村。据博雅地名网，该村原名“高蓝作下”，因高姓人迁居而得名，后人按谐音把“高”改为“江”、“蓝”改为“南”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属程乡县龟浆都，清代属白渡堡，民国时属梅县白渡堡，1949年归梅县白渡区，1958年归白渡公社。后在1989年改为江南管理区，到1999年成立村委会。[1]
