长田村属广东省梅州市梅县区白渡镇，是镇下的行政村。村名取自本村小学。小学旧称立民学校，据博雅地名网所记，曾是方方、古大存开展革命活动的据点，1950年代改名长田小学，村名随之定为长田。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代属程乡县龟浆都；1633年（崇祯六年）设镇平县（今蕉岭）时划归镇平县，1711年（康熙五十年）复归程乡县上半图。1941年属梅县白渡乡，1950年归白渡区，1958年为白渡公社长田大队，1989年改为管理区，1999年成立村委会。[1]
