松棚村是梅县区畲江镇的行政村，村名与村中高大成荫的松树有关。[1]

地名由来与沿革[edit]

据说旧时村里许多地方长着高大的松树，枝叶浓密，远看像搭起的棚，故名松棚。1958年时是松棚大队，1987年改为管理区，1999年改设村民委员会。[1]

松棚村列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，名单于2019年9月公布。[1]
