荷田村隶属广东省梅州市梅县区南口镇。旧时村民下田耕作，出入都要过一条小河，客家话中「荷」与「河」同音，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年建荷田大队，1983年至1986年改为荷田乡政社，1986年设荷田管理区，1999年起成为荷田村委会。[1]

2020年12月，荷田村另列入2020年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
