潭江村隶属广东省梅州市梅县区南口镇。一条小河纵贯村中，沿河有钓兵潭、喇叭潭、沙八潭、禾仓潭等较深的水潭，村起初称潭头村；1949年锡坑自然村划入后，统称潭江村。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年建潭江大队，1986年改为潭江管理区，1999年起成为潭江村委会。^[1]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。^[1]
