历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前因地处圩下方，称圩下村；1949年设益昌乡，1958年公社化时称益昌大队，1986年改为益昌管理区，1999年起成为益昌村委会。^[1]

2026年3月，益昌村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。^[1]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。^[1]
