大洲村属惠州市惠东县大岭街道，是街道下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，村由惠东县人民政府批准设立，按所在方位取名；该地面积较大，地势平坦。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

大洲在清同治九年（1870年）是和平约堡的一个小村。民国时期，它先后隶属惠阳县的第十一区、第六区，均为大洲乡；1950年6月归稔平区。1951年12月划入惠阳县第十一区，1957年12月并入平山镇，1958年建大洲大队，1963年2月起属平山公社。1984年，大洲同池竹、文布合为大洲乡；1987年3月改作村委；1990年为管理区。1998年，小池竹、沙湖、后面村三处与大洲本村共4个自然村合并，成为大洲村委会。[1][2]
