大岭社区属惠州市惠东县大岭街道，是街道下辖的社区。据博雅地名网，大岭原本是一个自然村的名字：北山与池竹村后的山岭连成一片，这里起初叫大池山，后来才改叫大岭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年12月，这里是惠阳县第十一区辖下的大岭小乡；1957年12月并入平山镇，1958年改为农业大队，1963年2月起归平山公社。1984年，大岭与洪湖合为一乡；1987年3月，乡改叫大岭村委；1988年村委同平新居委合并，随后重新划开，大岭一侧成居委，洪湖一侧仍为村委。2002年，依粤民基〔2002〕5号文，大岭居委更名社区居民委员会。到2020年10月29日，富祥、沙梨园、东兴三个社区又由它分设。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年9月，大岭社区获评「惠州市2022年度绿色社区」。[1]
