维德村是惠东县平山街道下辖的行政村，原属多祝镇，2017年10月划入平山街道，附近的大片地、平江、读光三村都是从它分出的。[1]

地名由来[edit]

“维德”意为维护社会主义的好品德，村名据此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1977年，维德、大片地、平江、读光四个大队由原维德大队分设，1983年又合并为维德乡。1987年3月撤乡，依惠东府函〔1987〕13号文设维德村委会；1990年称管理区，1998年复称村委会。2017年10月，经粤民函〔2017〕2295号文由多祝镇划入平山街道。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，维德村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
