园岭社区在惠东县县城所在的平山街道境内，1999年6月由南湖居委会分出，是一个镇中心区的社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区一带本叫猪哥山，后来被平山政府开发，因山岭形如圆帽，改称园岭。1999年6月自南湖居委会析出，设园岭居委会，2002年依粤民基〔2002〕5号文改为园岭社区居民委员会。[1]

社区荣誉[edit]

2022年9月，园岭社区被评为「惠州市2022年度绿色社区」。[1]
