三科村是博罗县麻陂镇下辖的行政村。村名的来历是：低级社并为高级社时，从桥头埔、大埔、埔心三个小社中取“三”字，再从科甲池取“科”字，合成三科。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地清代归苏州巡司署管，民国时划在第七区甲乡；建国后并入第三区麻陂乡。1959年3月成为麻陂公社的三科大队；1983年11月改为三科乡，隶麻陂区；1986年1月起叫三科管理区；1999年设立三科村民委员会。[1]
