江南街道在广东省惠州市惠城区西北部，位于东江南岸，名称即由此而来[1]。辖区面积约28.8平方千米，下设祝屋巷、亚婆田、共建、埔前、上湖塘、园岭6个社区和下角、七联2个行政村[1][2]。街道的办事处设在下角菱湖二路16号[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

街道的前身是下角办事处。博雅地名网列出的演变如下：1954年属桥西；1974年2月桥西公社设下角办事处，4月随体制改称桥西区的下角办事处；1981年8月升为惠州市政府的派出机构；1988年归惠城区；1993年8月改称江南办事处，2003年7月再改，成为现在的江南街道[1]。

地理环境[edit]

东江在辖区内的江岸长约13公里，有一处宽约2公里的水面，被称为东江流域最宽的水袖湾[2]。惠州西湖的平湖、鳄湖、菱湖水域也在街道范围内[2]。辖区多山，较有名的是丰山和观音山，另有卧佛山、犹龙山、紫薇山、虎头山、学平山等，林区合计约1.8万亩[2]。

据街道概况所载，2023年江南街道地区生产总值48.58亿元，比上年增长9.3%，在惠城区排第二；规模以上工业总产值68.32亿元，增长13.3%[2]。顺丰供应链项目、东英工贸项目已建成；七联村的津头湖一带建起渔人码头、渔家文化馆和沿江步道[2]。2021年6月第七次全国人口普查时，街道常住人口7.7万人，在惠城区各街道、镇中居第9位[1]。

街道概况列出的文化资源有：丰山烈士陵园、元妙古观、祝屋巷老街，七联村的龙舟民俗和木雕研创基地，津头湖的渔家文化与古树[2]。祝屋巷在2023年6月入选第二批省级旅游休闲街区[2]。街道还推行党员巷长责任制和乡村治理积分制，七联村被评为广东省乡村治理示范村[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

元妙观在惠州西湖平湖北岸，地址为下角元妙古观8号，占地一万多平方米。据百度百科，其前身初名朝元观，后称开元观，宋大中祥符九年（1016年）得赐天庆观之名，元代1296年改作玄妙观，明嘉靖年间定名元妙观。1942年日军侵惠时遭焚毁，“文化大革命”期间再受损坏；修复自1982年开始，大殿于1989年落成；1990年，它被公布为惠州市级的文物保护单位[3]。

祝屋巷一名，据《惠州西湖志》所载，来自明代书法家祝允明（祝枝山）曾在下角官塘西侧筑屋，其后人也居于此并建祝家祠[1][4]。
