历史沿革[edit]
祝屋巷居委会于1982年11月1日成立。1992年11月20日，祝屋巷西部的塑料厂、区党校等五个单位所在地划出，另设丰山居委会；2007年7月30日丰山居委会撤销，其辖区并入祝屋巷居委会[1]。2008年8月设立社区工作站[2]。
地名由来[edit]
据《惠州西湖志》，明代书法家祝允明（号枝山）曾在此筑屋，后人也居住于此，建有祝家祠，巷因而得名[1]。
社区概况[edit]
社区有3个物业管理的住宅小区和5个单位自管的住宅小区；教育方面有2所中专、1所小学、2所幼儿园，医疗方面有市、区医院各一家[2]。社区内有平湖、菱湖，以及丰山公园和道教的元妙古观[2]。祝屋巷老街前临元妙观，后接丰渚园，在西湖北畔[1]。
2022年1月，社区被评为惠州市2021年度绿色社区；2025年5月，又进入全国示范性老年友好型社区的创建名单（2025—2026年度）[1]。
