历史沿革[edit]

社区名来自黄田一名：相传秦代治理此地的首领姓黄，称这一带的田为黄田；因社区驻地在黄田圩，且设居民委员会，故以黄田为名。[1]居委会1988年成立，名黄田居民委员会，到2001年改名黄田社区居民委员会，至今未变。[1]

2019年9月，社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
