黄田村在平远县河头镇北部，面积4.2平方千米，下设7个村民小组，有168户、646人。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传早年高、毛、黄三姓同居此地，其中黄姓最兴旺，却与邻里和睦，还倡议合修道路、陂头和水圳。高、毛两姓感念其为人，推黄姓居首，村名定为黄田。其后三姓陆续迁走，刘、张两姓迁入，仍沿用旧名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年设黄田乡，1958年为生产大队，1983年称乡，此后行政体制几经调整：1987年起设村民委员会，一度改称管理区（1989年），到1999年重用黄田村民委员会之名，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地495亩，种西瓜、甜玉米和烤烟，上一年农村经济总收入373万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年12月，列入国家林业和草原局公布的第二批国家森林乡村；2023年11月又入选第三批全国乡村治理示范村，2024年1月获定2023年度省民主法治示范村（社区）；2026年3月，纳入广东省“百千万工程”第三批典型村镇。[1]
