历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，清代有文人在绥江边土名白石咀的石碑上刻下“鸦飞不过万田洞，蛤乸三年跳不返”的诗句，“万洞”之名由此而来，村委会驻地在此，故以为村名。[1]这里自明嘉靖三十七年（1558年）起隶广宁县，1954年改隶四会县第四区；1957年成立黄田乡，1961年又分出黄田公社。此时称万洞大队；自1983年的万洞乡，经1986年的村委会、1987年的管理区，到1998年定为万洞村民委员会，名称延续至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，万洞列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
经济[edit]
村里出产竹笋、青瓜、茄子和桔子等，博雅地名网称万洞的桔子属国家地理标志保护产品。[1]
