历史沿革[edit]

1958年以前归渔涝公社管辖，1958年成立七星人民公社；1984至1986年设东光人民政府，1987年改称村委会。[2]

因位于公社的东面，取东方之光的意思，叫东光。[3]

地理环境[edit]

地处边远山区，被列为河儿口镇的革命老区。[1]山上种八角、野山椒和桉树，水田种稻。[1]
