东光村是仁化县城口镇下辖的行政村，村名与原星光大队及九龙江东岸的位置有关。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村委会原属星光大队，又在九龙江东岸，故名东光。新中国成立初期设东光乡，其后改为大队、乡、村委会、管理区，几经更替，1998年定名东光村委会。[1]
2026年1月，东光村获广东省评为「第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
