保安村是怀集县诗洞镇的行政村，位于圩镇西南面，距圩镇2公里，村情页记有662多户、4426多人。[1]村内有南区农民协会旧址（念八庙），是怀集县1926年农民运动的遗迹。[1][2]

名称与沿革[edit]

村名是在太平、近圩、双井（含保民、保国）合并生产大队时，从“双井”取一个“保”字，从“太平”取其平安之意的“安”字合成的。[1]1963年为保安大队，“文化大革命”期间曾称红旗大队，其后1983年改乡，1987年改称村委会，1989年4月又称管理区，1998年起为村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村情页称，村民收入以种植业和青壮年外出务工为主，种有沙糖桔、贡柑、甜笋和蔬菜瓜豆，并发展速生丰产林。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

南区农民协会旧址又叫念八庙，在东柏村，始建于清代，砖木结构，现存一进三开间，面阔24.15米、进深7.2米，1941年重修。[2]南区20个乡村的两千多名农会会员在此开会，于1926年7月16日成立南区农民协会。[2]
