珠江社区毗邻肇庆市高要区金利镇城区，原为珠江村委会（后称珠岗村），面积约5.12平方千米，辖22个村民小组。博雅地名网载有农户751户、人口3009人，其中党员66人。[1]

近年社区盘活集体土地，招商引资，从单一种植业发展到个体五金与农业养殖并举的格局。[1]

沿革[edit]

1952年与石林同属第十竹子乡；1955年分出珠江一社、二社和石林社；1958年改珠江大队，隶金星公社。1981年地名普查，为避免县内大队重名，珠江大队易名珠岗大队。[1]

1983年改乡，1987年改村委会，1989年称珠岗管理区，1998年为珠岗村民委员会，2013年起为珠江社区居委会。[1]
