梅江社区在信宜市玉都街道，位于市区东面，1998年设立，当时叫梅江路居委会[1]。

名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区名来自此地从前紧邻东江边、岸上有一棵大梅树[1]。最初在1998年4月1日以“梅江路居委会”之名成立，后由信宜市民政局批复（信民复〔2005〕5号），于2005年5月27日定名梅江社区居民委员会，仍归东镇街道，到2021年5月才划入玉都街道[1]。
