高城村是信宜市玉都街道的行政村，因地势高、四周群山如城墙环绕而得名，2019年入选第一批国家森林乡村[1]。
名称与沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，此处地势较高，四面群山像城墙一样围着，故名高城[1]。高城在1958年是竹山公社下的大队，到1983年立乡，1987年随东镇镇建制改设村民委员会，1989年一度设管理区办事处，1999年恢复村民委员会之称，2021年5月起划入玉都街道[1]。
经济与荣誉[edit]
村下设23个村民小组，在册730户、2812人（未注明年份），总面积8平方公里，耕地650亩，主产荔枝、龙眼、香蕉等水果，并发展山地养鸡[1]。2019年12月列入「第一批国家森林乡村」名单；2024年1月被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」，2026年1月又获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。街道概况提到，村中的慈孝湖公园是建成的旅游区之一[2]。
