岭下村是化州市平定镇下辖的行政村，在化州北部山区，距平定镇中心10公里，处于平定、播扬、那务三镇的县级公路交汇处。[1][3]

据博雅地名网，岭下村辖25个自然村、31个村民小组，耕地1600多亩，山岭5680亩，全村1080户、5980人，其中低保户91户（184人）、五保老人41户；设岭下中心小学和德明小学两所小学以及一所幼儿园。[3]

村内有岭下圩，墟期为每月农历初一、初四、初七，圩上街道长1000多米，常住400多人，有市场一座、商铺数十家，道路已全部硬底化。村集体收入靠商铺和山岭出租，每年约2.6万元；劳务输出以省内务工为主。[3]

文化[edit]

村里保持年例习俗：上片村群的年例在正月初八（林姓居多），下片村群的在正月十五（董姓居多）；大坡村为正月十一，圩地岭村为二月初二。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年属岭下大队，此后建制依次为：乡（1983年）、村民委员会（1987年）、管理区办事处（1989年），1999年恢复村民委员会，一直如此。[2]
