据博雅地名网，村里从前以做蓝靛、染布出名，原叫蓝村，后来谐音改作林村[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

土改期间属大坡乡，1961年体制下放，成立林村大队，此后1983年改为乡、1986年改为农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月入选2019年广东省卫生村名录。[1]
