地名由来[edit]

村处在大井河西岸一片洪水冲积形成的沙质土壤地带，故名大沙。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

大沙大队以当地较出名的大沙村命名，1958年成立，属南塘公社。1961年公社体制下放，分为大井、大沙两个大队；1963年初大沙与白村合并，仍称大沙大队，并改为管理区。1983年建乡，1986年改称农村管理区，1999年起设村民委员会。[1]
