历史沿革[edit]

车田一带在1949年以前属茂名县白沙乡，1949年归合水乡，1962年另设车田大队，其后几经改称，1998年起为车田村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

中央文明委在2015年2月授予该村「第四届全国文明村镇」称号，司法部和民政部同年3月又表彰其为「第六批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]2019年12月，该村被认定为「全国乡村治理示范村」；2023年4月公布的「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单中也有车田村。[1]
