历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网记载了一个说法：苏轼被贬海南途中曾在此村避风，觉得原名令到村不够雅，建议改为名教村。[1]
1950年建名教大队，由名教、小江、河潭角等15条村组成；1977年迁到现在的村委会所在地；1983年改乡，1987年改管理区，1999年定名名教村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村委会辖9条自然村，登记总人口3422人，党员60人（未注明年份）。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地2713亩，种水稻、花生、甘蔗和蔬菜。2019年9月，名教村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
