历史沿革[edit]
村子位于一片平整耕地的南边，村民以「南垌」为名。[1]
1950年，南垌、南蒙塘等15条村成立南垌大队；1965年，龙塘等9条村加入；1983年改乡；1987年同龙塘分开，改称管理区；1999年定名南垌村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村委会辖11条自然村，登记总人口2874人，党员64人（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地2515亩，种水稻、花生、甘蔗和荔枝。2019年9月，南垌村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年3月，被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
