塘底村是廉江市新民镇的行政村，下属自然村4条，即塘底、平塘、白扶岭和东风；村民约1631人，耕地1141亩，种外运菜和水果。[1]百度百科称它在新民镇北部，与镇政府相距约7.5公里，是革命老区。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

环村有塘，村民因此叫它塘底。[1]塘底早先并入朗塘：1953年属朗塘乡，1958年成朗塘大队（新民公社）；到1989年才由朗塘管理区析出，另设塘底管理区，1999年成为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年11月，塘底村被授予「第六届全国文明村镇」称号。[1]2023年5月，其下东风村、白扶岭村获评「2022年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月，塘底村又获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
