这里1994年先是管理区，五年后成了居民委员会，到2002年12月，才有了现在的新城社区居民委员会这一建制[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，新城社区进入2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位[1]。
