横岗头村在东成镇东南部，距圩镇约3公里，与牛皮塘、四联、石桥头三村接壤，下设12个自然村。[1][2]这是恩平市有名的侨村，村民姓郑，海外乡亲达4700多人，1981年在乡亲出资下建成横岗头小学。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村史馆的介绍说，横岗头村建于明朝，始祖履泰郑公，其先人从河南荥阳南迁；村名来自村旁一座叫“横岗”的山岗。[2]民国时属君堂的均安乡，新中国成立后先属东成公社牛皮塘大队，1978年分出为横岗头大队，此后依次称横岗头乡、村民委员会，1998年10月经批准恢复设立村民委员会。[1][2]

人口与经济[edit]

村辖总面积2.72平方千米，耕地1742亩，共12个自然村，编为13个村小组，村里常住人口八百多人。[2][3]村委会介绍称农民种水稻、香大蕉、柑橘、红江橙，开挖鱼塘800多亩；2008年度集体经济收入约3.06万元，人均纯收入2500元。[1]

华侨[edit]

据村史馆资料，横岗头籍海外乡亲有4700多人，分布为：横岗头村3100多人，另有六斗田与蒲芦岭两村共1500多人，散居于美国、加拿大、墨西哥、委内瑞拉、马来西亚、新加坡等国家和地区。[2]祖籍横岗头的郑铭树1972年去委内瑞拉经商，1981年带头发动本村华侨兴建横岗头小学；[2]郑炎浓1949年赴委内瑞拉，后来捐资支持东成中学教学楼和东成镇派出所的建设。[2]

村史馆[edit]

横岗头村史馆2022年7月开馆，设在村党群服务中心二楼，面积250平方米，分4个展厅，展示建村、华侨、党建和乡村治理等内容。[2]

著名人物[edit]

卢传铭（1908—1996），六斗田村人，10岁赴美，学习驾驶飞机，1930年起回到国内，在广东航空学校当飞行教官，抗战期间在空军任教官和驾驶员，1949年11月参加“两航”起义，1972年退休。[2]

荣誉[edit]

村史馆资料列有：2011年广东省侨爱新村，2014年五邑名村，2017年广东省卫生村，2020年广东省乡村治理示范村，2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）。[2]2023年11月入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」，2024年4月入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1][3]
