地名由来[edit]
村名取自桃溪张公的长子张横槎。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村子始建于明正德年间：张姓先祖桃溪张公带着长子张横槎和次子张趣槎，从今开平市的沙岗迁来，选址在锦江河畔一条小溪的西南面。[1]1949年，横槎与顺槎同属东联乡；1958年横槎自成生产大队，其后的名称与周边各村一致，1998年10月经批准恢复设立村民委员会。2006年东安街道办事处撤销，横槎划入东成镇。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
全村576户、1890人，辖区总面积2250亩，耕地655亩，东南有325国道，东北是锦江。[1]近年工业区发展，中澳豪庭、锦秀香江、金湖城花园等住宅项目先后落户。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年横槎村列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
