常住人口719人，623户。村在丘陵地带，种植以水稻、冬瓜、马铃薯为主，桉树经济林为辅，集体收入靠铺位、鱼塘和土地出租。[1]

村里改造了狮山水库西灌区水渠，购置134盏太阳能路灯，并整治环境、完善道路绿化。[1]
