荣塘村是江门市开平市马冈镇所辖的行政村之一，村委会在镇区西北面，距镇政府3.5公里[1]。下分11个村民小组，村情材料记载人口3065人、723户，耕地1996亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

地形两边低、呈塘形，村民盼后代人才辈出、荣耀四方，故称荣塘[1]。

明代属开平县长静都，民国年间划入第二区马冈区。新中国成立后归第十一区，1955年属马冈区，1963年属马冈公社，称荣塘大队。1984年起，村级建制由大队改为乡，1989年又改设管理区；1993年开平撤县设市，划归马冈镇管辖，1999年改设村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。

人口民族[edit]

村委会管辖区的人口为3065人（723户），其中劳动力约1680人[1][2]。

经济[edit]

村集体2009年的收入为3.2万多元，农民人均年收入为2000元[1]；村里有党员37人[1]。

荣塘村与大厂村共建凉粉草种植基地[2][3]。2024年7月，荣塘村联合大厂村举办了暑期儿童公益培训班[2]。
