田头村是广东省江门市台山市赤溪镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的南部，与镇政府所在的田头圩相邻，面积约32.05平方千米，分为17个村民小组。[1][5] 据赤溪镇人民政府2026年的资料，全村户籍人口5560人，常住的有4450人。[1] 村民都是客家人，讲客家话。[3][4]

按《赤溪县志》的说法，田头一带旧称「清溪之浒」，南宋末年就有人在此定居；清咸丰年间村人筑起围墙和闸门防御盗匪，北闸的一段城墙至今仍在。[3][5] 村里的强村公司以擂糖糊为主打产品，这种客家甜品已列入江门市级非物质文化遗产名录。[1][6]

历史沿革[edit]

《赤溪县志》记载，宋太宗的十一世孙赵必泓在矬峒盐场（在今白宵山下）做官时，经过「清溪之浒」，喜爱这里的山水，就留下来安家；这个「清溪之浒」便是今天的田头村。[3][4][5] 镇政府整理的村落资料称，村里的定丰、大巷、北闸等自然村都始建于南宋末年。[3][4][5]

明弘治十二年（1499年）新宁县设立以前，这一带归广州府新会县矬峒都；此后属新宁县矬峒都田头堡。同治六年（1867年）赤溪厅成立，田头堡改隶赤溪厅昌平都；民国年间属赤溪县第二区。1953年赤溪县并入台山县，这里成为台山县第十九区的田头乡；1958年起分属赤溪公社的中心、茭笋等大队，1991年改属新设的田头镇，2001年田头镇并入赤溪镇后，归赤溪镇田头村委会。[3][4][5]

1861年（咸丰十一年），田头堡成立万安局，在田头大村四周修建城墙，开东、西、北三座闸门，用来防范匪患；北闸门内另设北营，驻有丁勇。[3][5]

民国二十四年九月二十一日（1935年），半官方的田头自治会与村中大姓宗族积怨爆发，发生械斗，自治会的罗仁、林尧被杀，会所被焚。此后十多年，以陈、李、黄等姓为主的地方武装（乡间称「土鹿」）和以钟、罗、杨等姓为主、活动于山林中的武装（乡间称「山鹿」）互相仇杀，村民死伤很重，到1949年后才由解放军调停、镇压而平息。[3][4]

姓氏宗族[edit]

据镇政府的村落资料，定丰世居吴、罗、钟三姓，大巷世居曾、李、罗三姓，北闸世居陈、邬、朱三姓；各村的先祖大多在明代由福建迁入新宁县，后代再陆续移居田头。[3][4][5] 大巷村有罗、曾、钟、李四姓祠堂，西安村有桂梅李公祠。[4][7]

经济[edit]

村民历来以耕种为业，主种水稻，兼种花生、甘薯和瓜菜；改革开放以后，部分村民开店经商，也有不少人外出打工。[3][4]

2025年全村村组两级共收入194.8071万元，多数来自咸围发包和管理费。[1] 同年村里成立强村富民公司，以「村集体经济联合社+公司+农户」的方式经营擂糖糊、海鲜干货等本地特产，并与本地食品企业合作，把擂糖糊做成标准化产品，在网上和门店同时销售。据2026年的报道，公司开办的田群商店累计营业额约9万元，其中擂糖糊占5.7万元。[1][2] 村里还打算借240国道田头段沿线的位置招商，发展生态旅游，并推进定丰村的百亩果园项目。[1]

近年村里治理垃圾和污水，硬化了村道巷道，在田长路安装路灯，改造亲仁联村道路和茭笋古村道，并建起无害化公厕和生活污水处理设施。[1] 田头村曾获「台山市无毒村居」「先进民兵营」等称号。[1]

文化[edit]

逢年过节，田头的客家人家家户户做大笼糍、米橙、糖糊、艾糍、发粄、鸡屎藤糍和咸菜等传统食品。[3][4][5] 村里流行唱客家山歌，有赏灯时煮咸茶、煎锅笃糍「补天穿」等风俗；「四月八」时节村民裹粽拜佛、浴佛祈福，春节则有醒狮上门拜年。[3][5]

「赤溪客家擂糖糊」于2019年列入江门市第七批市级非物质文化遗产代表性项目（传统技艺类）。[6] 田头村以江门市级非遗传承人刘耿维为骨干传承这门手艺，并借助镇上的擂糖糊大赛推广客家美食。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

北闸村的北闸城墙建于咸丰十一年，现在位于北闸公园内，保存完好。[5] 同村的北帝庙（又称茶山庙）始建于宋代，光绪二十八年（1902年）重修，庙前原有的一对石狮已移到台城人工湖青少年活动中心门前。[5] 大巷村有田头古堡和八宝巷。[4]

办学方面，清同治八年（1869年）北闸村内设立育秀义学，1930年又在侨胞资助下建成田头学校。如今田头地区的中小学生都到赤溪中心学校（原田头中学）上学，田头学校成为它的分教点。[5]
