社区经济以工业为主；2008年经济总产值19.05亿元，其中第二产业18.43亿元[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清属南海县金利司的下白石堡；1927年属第二区卫安乡；1934年属第二区棠白乡；1953至1956年属第九区民安乡；1957年底到1959年7月属和顺乡民安片，其间先后隶属东风（官窑）公社、里和公社的民安大队；自1959年8月起，到1968年初，是和顺公社的白岗大队（与文教大队分设）；1968年初到1983年，先后改属红旗（和顺）公社的红星大队等[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

村简介称，村民（本地）3357人，外来者4562人；耕地、鱼塘、花卉地分别是1260亩、300亩、245亩；2008年农村居民人均纯收入8249元[1]。白岗社区2020至2022年连续三年列入淘宝村名单[1]。
