沙溪社区前身为沙溪村，在大沥镇东部，是黄岐海北三乡之一，2平方公里，四面被河水环绕。[1]

地理环境[edit]

东隔河同广州沙河相望，南与黄岐城区隔河，西靠泌冲，北邻广州金沙洲；黄岐大桥把全村与321国道相连。[1]

人口民族[edit]

户籍1719户，常住五千余人，外来约六千。2009年成立沙溪股份合作经济社，共11个村民小组，从联庆、共和、双一、新市、西一、正西、十三、永红、北约，到东二、东一。[1]

经济[edit]

村里有占地160多亩的工业城和商业街。2009年集体经济总收入2091万元，人均股份分配一千六百多元。村里种植剑兰、桃花、菊花和园林花木，土特产以沙溪马蹄粉、共和蜂蜜最出名。[1]
