城东社区是南澳县后宅镇县城区的居民社区，辖区在龙滨路以东，名称取自居民聚居在后宅镇东部[1][2]。据博雅地名网，有1993户、5154人[1]。

城东于1988年设街道办事处，1992年4月改称城东社区居民委员会，沿用至今[1]。

荣誉[edit]

据该页所载，社区有党员65人，2008年获南澳县委“先进基层党组织”称号，2009年被汕头市评为“先进社区”，并获广东省民政厅“六好平安和谐社区”称号[1]。2019年9月，城东社区名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中[1]。
