新龙社区在汕头市潮阳区和平镇，村名寄望日后龙腾虎跃。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村志类材料称新龙1952年之前属下厝乡，其后分出为新龙村。1958年起为新龙农业生产大队，1984年改作新龙乡，1986年建村委会，1988年改叫管理区，1999年又改居民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

简介称社区有3200户、19867人，土地7452亩，其中耕地1166亩，围仔、车路西两处工业区已初具规模（简介未注年份）。[1]在2023年5月公布的评定中，新龙被省爱卫会列为2022年度广东省卫生村。[1]
