百顺镇在广东省韶关市南雄市西北部，西邻仁化县，南邻始兴县，北与江西省大余县交界，镇政府设在百顺墟。[1]全镇辖1个社区、9个行政村。[1]镇名取“百上”之意，当地话里“顺”与“上”同音。[2]2021年，百顺镇被列入广东省第三批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业镇，产业为毛竹。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明洪武十年（1377年），朝廷在百顺圩设巡检司。[1]民国十八年（1929年）这一带属第九区韶望乡，1940年改称韶安乡，1942年再改百顺乡。[2]1958年公社化时，这里先属高峰公社，后属白云公社，1962年才单独设公社。此后建制两变：1984年设区，1986年区撤销，改设镇。[2]
地理环境[edit]
百顺镇位于南雄市西北部，东面与全安镇、澜河镇相接，西面是仁化县扶溪镇，南面是始兴县马市镇，北面隔界与江西省大余县相邻。[1]据百度百科，行政区域面积191.42平方千米；博雅地名网另录有约273.5平方千米的旧数字。[1][2]当地气候属亚热带季风气候。[1]

2019年末统计，户籍人口为1.33万，常住人口则为1.05万，外出者不少。[1]
经济[edit]
据百度百科，2019年全镇经济总收入达2.21亿元，农村居民人均纯收入1.59万元，公共预算收入为1107.1万元。[1]传统农业以稻米、黄烟、花生为主，经济林有白果、橙桔、板栗，镇内有竹木制品厂、电站和土纸厂。[2]2021年9月，毛竹产业使百顺镇进入广东省农业农村厅公布的第三批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业镇名单。[2]

据博雅地名网，百顺一带的民俗有南雄香火龙；南雄市政府网站亦有《南雄百顺香火龙》的旅游视频。[2][3]广东省2023年度卫生乡镇的命名名单（2024年3月）中也有百顺镇。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
溪头塔在溪头村的溪头老村，建于宋代，是五层六角的楼阁式砖塔，1997年公布为南雄市文物保护单位，2012年10月列为广东省文物保护单位。[4]溪头村的山间还有梯田。[2]大水迳凤形山上有隋代将领麦铁杖的墓，墓向北，依山而筑。[2][5]
著名人物[edit]
麦铁杖，隋朝大将军，官至右屯卫大将军，卒于大业八年（612年）。[2]当地资料称他是百顺人，百度百科则记他为始兴人，两说并存。[2][6]
