历史沿革[edit]
建国初期，溪头属南雄县第七区双溪乡，随后由互助组转为初级社、高级社。1958年百顺人民公社成立后，溪头为大队，由苍石管理区代管；60年代初一度归苍石公社，1966年起并入百顺公社。1983年称溪头乡，1988年改管理区，1998年12月起为溪头村村民委员会。[1]
名称由来[edit]
这里是苍石兰溪水的发源处，故名溪头。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予该村2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
经济[edit]
村中水田1066亩、旱田366亩，耕地共1432亩；山林共37600亩，分责任山23490亩与生态公益林14110亩；产业有水稻、花生、竹林和黄豆。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
溪头老村的溪头塔又名娘娘塔、姐妹塔，建于宋代，原为双塔，今存一座。[2]塔为五层六角的楼阁式砖塔，塔刹已毁；百度百科记塔高16米，基围11.34米。[2]1997年公布为南雄市文物保护单位，2012年10月列为广东省文物保护单位。[2]村里另有依山开凿的梯田，层层蓄水。[1]
